CompetitiveGamer.net is a news and research site focusing on eSports and competitive gaming and is an awesome place to work. You meet great people, make great connections and gain a lot of hands on experience. Below are our currently available positions and a brief description of each. Available Positions:

 

Writer – Unpaid (volunteer) position

As a writer at CompetitiveGamer.net, you will be taking on the task of drafting and posting relevant eSports news. The news articles can range from anything from tournament coverage to business and legal perspective of the industry. If you only want to write for a specific game, that’s fine, just please include that in your email. THIS IS AN UNPAID POSITION and your work will be conducted remotely. As with all of our unpaid positions, there is always the potential of it turning into paid positions as the site becomes more profitable. You will be expected to write at least 2-3 articles a week on the pre-approved topics of your choice.

If you would like to write only about a certain game or topic type (tournament coverage, legal and business, etc) then please include that in your email.

Editor – Unpaid (volunteer) position

As an editor at CompetitiveGamer.net, you will be reviewing and editing the posts our writers draft for the website. While you are permitted to write your own articles as well, your main priority will be to edit the articles already being drafted. THIS IS AN UNPAID POSITION and your work will be conducted remotely. As with all of our unpaid positions, there is always the potential of it turning into paid positions as the site becomes more profitable. You will be expected to edit articles as they come and will be working directly under the managing editor.

Managing Editor – Unpaid (volunteer) position

As the managing editor at CompetitiveGamer.net, you will be responsible for organizing the editors and writers by assigning each article to an editor and making sure the edits are done correctly and in a timeless fashion. THIS IS AN UNPAID POSITION and your work will be conducted remotely. As with all of our unpaid positions, there is always the potential of it turning into paid positions as the site becomes more profitable. You will be expected to be available as articles are submitted.
